Where Your Money Goes

Susan G. Komen is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit while providing real-time help to those facing the disease. Komen was founded by Nancy G. Brinker, who promised her sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would end the disease that claimed Suzy’s life. Komen Southwest Ohio is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community. Through events like the Komen Cincinnati Race for the Cure®, Komen Southwest Ohio has invested more than $10.5M in community breast health programs in our 21-county service area, and has helped contribute to the more than $800 million invested globally in research.

Our Promise: to save lives by investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer while continuing to meet the most critical needs of education, screening and support in our community.

We are proud to have invested more than $10.5 million locally since 1997, to breast health organizations and research.

The positive impact of this funding is significant, but it is not enough – as the need in our community continues to grow.
